Appreciating the Wonderful World of Hub Pages Writers

As I sit here reading the excellent offerings of my fellow hubbers, the thought occured to me that I wanted to say "thank you" for sharing such talented, creative, sensitive and, sometimes, hilarious hubs! I always look forward to opening up HubPages...or my email...to see who has written about what! So many and varied topics from serious to sublime, objective, subjective, painfully honest and brutally descriptive in word and picture.

When my yahoo account has an 'incoming' which tells me there are new hubs by my favorite authors, I immediately open that email first. There, I find many many new pieces by familiar names some of whom I feel as if I have known a very long time. Poems, tributes, memories, eulogies, fantasies, history, speculation, design along with tasty recipes, travel logues, and bits of artistry, downloads...so much new information to digest.

I thoroughly enjoy perusing the new thoughts and brave attempts of professional and lay writers.

I found Hub Pages by Googling "blog sites." Dozens popped up and, honestly, I tried several others but found them to be wanting. I paged down in another search and found Hub Pages. It looked promising. So, I decided to explore this site. What I first noticed were all the options available here that I did not find in the several other pages I visited. Here, I could download pictures, arrange my hub pretty much any way I wanted, contour my profile and even include videos. So, I felt as if this would be the best place to try my writing skills (or lack!).

Since beginning, I have found and been found by so many truly gifted writers. Every subject under the sun is here...in blaring honesty and opinion! I LOVE that about blogging. We get to be ourselves and, sure enough, we'll find others who agree with us and were out looking for someone who felt the same way, and then there are those who might not feel as strongly about a subject but are good enough to share their thoughts about it.

My only regret is that I don't have all the time I'd like to read each and every hub that is written by my favorite hubbers and those I follow...and all the ones I've yet to discover. When i'm scrolling down the list of new hubs in the email, I sometimes have to pick and choose so that I can get something else done during the day!

I am so happy to have found this site. I've met so many wonderful people here...most of whom I'd never have the opportunity to find, otherwise.

I wanted to write this to say "thankyou" for all the great works, all the nice comments, constructive words and support. I plan to continue to attempt to write as much as possible as I have always wanted to do this...and read - read - read all the fun and inspiring, tittilating and funny, sad and happy, new and old works of art that I can.
